Mezcal opened its doors to raving tequila fans in Colorado in December of 2003. The awards (hyperlinked to awards page) started coming in almost immediately. Mezcal was designed with the goal of being true to historic Mexican recipes for food & drinks, while allowing for flexibility and creativity in all of our menu items.
Built around the history of agave spirits and traditional Mexican cuisine, Mezcal is focused on the education and satisfaction of our friends and guests. The ambiance and décor was designed specifically to address the art, culture and personality of our closest neighbor South of the border.

About Danielle Scott – GM
Danielle Scott has been at Mezcal since the doors opened in December of 2003. It’s not surprising considering the fact that Danielle has been in the restaurant business her entire life.
As a kid, Danielle helped her family run a little dinner in Oklahoma, by doing any task necessary, and learning every aspect of the business. When Danielle received her first $1 tip she was hooked and knew she would be a foodie for the rest of her life! As the General Manager at Mezcal Danielle has developed one of the top tequila lists in Denver, and has helped take the kitchen to an entirely new level. Her passion for the restaurant industry is obvious every time you sit and the bar and are greeted by a great big smile and an ice cold drink. Stop in and say hola to Danielle today.
